Statement Patrick Leger is a North Carolina-based illustrator. Born in 1979 in the foothills of North Carolina, Patrick attended East Carolina University where he received a degree in painting and a year later enrolled in the Masters program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After college in 2007, Patrick decided to begin exploring a career in illustration and got his start doing work for the Op-Ed section of the New York Times. Greatly influenced by the work of artists of the 1960s and with a love of everything from that period, Patrick's work combines traditional aesthetics with modern sensibilities. His work has been recognized by American Illustration, Communication Arts, and The Society of Illustrators. Past clients include the New York Times, ESPN, Atlantic Monthly, the New Yorker, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, Fast Company, Billboard, FHM, Popular Mechanics, Wired, Business Week, and Random House
