Statement I studied at Brighton University between 1995 and 1998 before moving to an MA course at Central St Martins College. Nostalgic elements have always been at the heart of my work, incorporating innocent but often very real snapshots of life. Composition is the most important aspect of my work, and this is how each project is normally approached. Influences range from Peter Blake and Euan Uglow to American photographers such as Lee Friedlander and Saul Leiter
